This painting went the way I wanted it to without pulling hairs! The illusion of detail was quick to paint. Sometimes when I try to do a very simple one object painting it can be more difficult to pull off than one that is more involved.

How wonderful shadow effects and how simple you make it look like! Thanks for the posting.
I'm glad you like this painting. I softened the shadows after they were painted with very soft fan brush and a VERY light touch.
