I spent some time arranging the fabric folds to lead the eye through the composition. I like how the roosters on the plate edge create motion, too.

- In the beginning of this blog I set a goal of one small painting a day for one year. While I didn't reach my goal, I did complete 125 small daily paintings. I still enjoy the tiny format and do them when I can. This is my 30th year as a professional painter and yet with this new goal I feel like it's a new beginning. I am very excited.
