" Pears for Mary "
Oil
8" x 10"
I painted these pears today for Mary, my friend in Boston who comes out here with her family from time to time. I waited until they turned from green to yellow and I love the rosey blush areas. Yellow just begged for a subdued blue violet background.

Love the contrasts and the way the pears are shoulder to shoulder.
Your draping is so well done.

Thanks, Mary,
I like to think of pears as people and arrange them so. The individual character of the stems speak to me. Am I getting "fruitie" for what?
Thanks for visiting my blog.
