Garden Still Life, potted plants

"Garden Still Life "
6"x8"
Oil
This little oil was completed in about 2 hours during a garden tour that supports our local community library. The paint just fell off the brush in all the right places...yes! Rare, but those are the ones that keep me coming back for more.

Oh I love the feel of this - just beautiful! I love it when painting seems effortless.

Thanks, Karen. I'm glad you like this painting. So many I struggle with which sometimes means I'm just not as focused as I could be. Thanks for visiting my blog.

I've already seen you blog, and I love the way you paint, all your paintings, in fact, and your subjects, which is important, I think.
bravo!

Thanks, Sylviane. I think when we choose subjects that have meaning to us it comes through in the painting. I'm glad you like the subjects I paint!

This is so nice.... I love it when the paint 'falls off the brush' like that - it doesn't happen that often for me!

Thanks, Kelly. I figure it's about numbers and percentages. The more you paint the more the chance of those lucky ones happening. That's one reason these little 6x6 paintings are so fun. You get to see a finished painting in short order.
