Merry Christmas, Glass Ornament

" Shiny Brite "
Oil
6"x6"
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and Peace & Love in the coming New Year.
A note on this painting that I did last December. It wasn't until I was finished that I noticed I'd painted a reflection of myself. My first self-portrait...it was painless.

Oh! Oh! Oh! I just answered a comment on my blog that you left, Jennifer, and came over here to view your blog, and what do my eyes see? Four! You go girl! And a year ahead of my little pastel! (Love it!)

Jennifer I love this! Your self portrait was the first thing I noticed. I think it is a wonderful perspective!
Painless??? I would have had fits with it probably!

Thanks, Tina, for visiting my blog. Merry Christmas.

Thanks, Katie Mae. By painless I mean because I wasn't aware that I was reflected in the ornament it flowed. Had I been painting a real self-portrait I would be fretting and fussing.

have a great holiday jennifer! wonderful painting, great job at catching all those reflections but keeping them simple. love the little self-portrait in the front bulb.

Thanks, Christine. I'm glad you like this. Been meaning to try painting a candy cane or other holiday treat but the week is getting away from me. Just shoveled out from 8" new, beautiful snow! It's a ski town, we're skiers so we love it white and cold. Merry Christmas.

Beautiful subject, and well done! I love the part about your 'accidental' self portrait! Wishing you peace (or, as I originally typed, 'peach') throughout the coming year, and a very Merry Christmas, Jennifer!

Thanks, Karen. I love the burro or donkey...my friend has two Sonoran burros, they are so cute. Thanks for visiting my blog and Happy New Year to you!
