" Clementines "
Oil
6" x 6"

This simple arrangement seemed straight forward, however what gave me fits was getting the tiny sliver of fabric the fruit is setting on right. It had to be light but still read as light blue green. So I made the fabric in shadow darker than I was seeing.

I too, am trying to get better at drapery. A la Qiang Huang who is the MASTER. Nice job here.

Nicely done Jennifer. I think that warm background helps that fabric pop too. It is almost like a sunset sky color. I like the way that you handled the Clementines.

The painting looks great... the darker drapery works well. I also like the composition.
